Senator Cathy Kipp Visits 4Rivers Equipment

On Wednesday, July 2, Senator Cathy Kipp made time in her schedule to visit 4Rivers Equipment in Fort Collins, Colorado. Senator Kipp is the newly elected State Senator for Senate District 14, which covers most of Fort Collins. Kipp met with 4Rivers CEO John Shearer, Branch Manager Damian Rice, Service Manager JT Tyndell, and Training Coordinator Michele Ibanez. She also met many of Fort Collins’ store employees, for a facility tour and meet-and-greet.

Senator Kipp was able to see all departments in our Fort Collins location, from sales to the service bay. She also enjoyed the opportunity to climb inside a John Deere 410 P-Tier Articulated Dump Truck. She was even shown the ropes of how to operate the machine up close.

The senator was also on hand for a presentation given by Michele Ibanez. Michele showed examples of 4Rivers Equipment’s commitment to trainings, certifications, and development for all its employees. John Shearer was able to speak with the senator about the ongoing need for technicians in the industry. Among the challenges are enticing the younger generations to investigate opportunities in these fields.

Senator Kipp was impressed with the operation, especially with the amount of work going into each process and the knowledge that our employees have amassed to do their jobs to the best of their abilities.

4Rivers would like to thank Associated Equipment Distributors (AED) and Jacob Asare for arranging the meeting, and of course Senator Kipp for spending the morning with us. We look forward to continuing to build a stronger Colorado together.
