John Shearer Elected Chairman of Associated Equipment Distributors for 2024

LAS VEGAS – 4Rivers Equipment is proud to announce the election of John Shearer as the Associated Equipment Distributors (AED) Chairman for 2024. The official installation ceremony occurred on January 15-17 in Las Vegas, where Shearer was joined by his wife, Patricia Fox. Mark Romer, President of James River Equipment, sister company to 4Rivers Equipment, presented Shearer with this esteemed honor.

Shearer’s election was met with congratulatory messages from notable figures, including Governor Jared Polis, U.S. Representative Yadira Caraveo, and U.S. Representative Gabe Vasquez of New Mexico.

Mr. Shearer stated, “I am honored to have been elected as your 2024 AED Chairman. The Board, the AED staff and I are excited and ready to go to work ensuring AED is your go-to source. I ask all our members to get involved to help make sure we are meeting your needs.”

With a longstanding affiliation with AED, Shearer has served as a board member and contributed to various capacities, demonstrating his commitment to the organization and the equipment industry.

Brian P. McGuire, President and CEO of AED, commented, “John is a success story. Having started as a technician to becoming president of the company, he is a poster child for what is possible for people in the equipment industry.”

In his role as Chairman, Shearer will preside over the AED board of directors. His responsibilities include association governance, policy formulation, and ensuring fiduciary integrity.
