This award recognizes the best of the best, meaning technicians who not only master the technical side but also deliver exceptional customer service. For Devin, that’s second nature. He doesn’t just fix machines, he builds trust. Before heading out on a call, he dives into JDLink data to understand the issue, aiming for that coveted “one-trip deal.” “I like to make the repair right the first time,” he says. Quick, accurate, and thorough are the keys to his approach.
But what really sets Devin apart is his heart for people. John Deere customers know they can count on him, and so do his teammates. Leadership throughout Life
Outside of work, Devin’s commitment to service doesn’t stop. He’s a volunteer firefighter in his community; a role he took on because, like everything else, it was a challenge he couldn’t ignore. “Being a firefighter is not easy,” says Service Manager Curt Hermes, “but Devin latched on to it and ran with it.”
Despite his accomplishments, Devin shies away from the spotlight. “I don’t like talking about myself,” he admits. “There are a lot of guys who deserve this just as much.” But his peers disagree. They see a technician who embodies what 4Rivers stands for: skill, integrity, and a drive to keep customers moving. Now, John Deere sees it too.
Ask Devin what keeps him motivated, and he grins: “I like working for a John Deere dealership.
