4Rivers Equipment was founded in 1926 in Holly, Colorado, originally established as Romer Mercantile. For 100 years, we have grown alongside the communities we serve, navigating the challenges of the Dust Bowl and the evolution of modern machinery. In 1977, we transitioned into Colorado Machinery before rebranding as 4Rivers Equipment in 2013—a name that honors the Arkansas, Colorado, Platte, and Rio Grande rivers. This deep-rooted history in Colorado and the Southwest establishes 4Rivers as one of the most reliable and enduring John Deere dealerships in the United States.

In light of our expansion beyond Colorado into Wyoming, New Mexico, and Texas, we recognized the need for a name that better reflects our presence. We proudly transitioned from 'Colorado Equipment' and 'Colorado Machinery' to '4Rivers Equipment.' Reflecting our roots in Colorado, the name '4Rivers Equipment' embodies our rich history and promising future. It pays homage to the fundamental waterways that have shaped our journey, comprising the Colorado, Rio Grande, Platte, and Arkansas rivers.
